This Spring's workshops with Adam Chilson (*Doomsday-Dawn) have gone stunningly well. Starting with a more conservative schedule, we answered the demand that called for us to expand our offerings to four classes (two of them sold out!) during the eight week period from February 1 to March 29. To cap it all off, March 29 was our 1-year anniversary, to the day, of the inaugural session of "Introductory Lighting Techniques" that we held last year. We knew we were aiming to grow, but I think it's safe to say we're all amazed and proud of what we've built the workshop series into in the past year, and very excited about our plans to grow even further in the upcoming months.

It's looking like we'll have a workshop scheduled every single month through the summer, take off for Burning Man in September, and then come back for one or two more classes before the end of this year. That's a lot of planning ahead, but it's what's allowing us to make the program a success.

We're currently booking for a May 31 repeat of our "Back in Blacklight" blacklight photography and bodypainting workshop that we held for the first time last October. Our Featured Model is the stunning Victoria Vengeance, an outstanding pinup and burlesque performer and model who is just a joy to work with. You can see a few images of her from the Crash Fashion show in March, here, with bodypainting of course by workshop stylist/instructor Lisa Berczel (^Battledress). We'll also have a second model, TBA, and as always, sponsorship from our wonderful partners Grex Airbrushes and Wildfire Lighting and Visual Effects.

And, after that, it's on into new territory with a themed workshop (theme to be announced, date already set) for June 28. We'll present more information on that class soon; we're currently in discussion for casting and itinerary details, and it's going to be a very exciting class.

On July 26, we're very pleased to announce a Fine Art and Figure Nude workshop with model =bellabrooke, who will be joining us during her summer travels! We're thrilled to be working with her, and excited to announce this class, dedicated to the fine art side of nude photography. This workshop will be presented from the standpoint of introductory to intermediate lighting techniques, and as always, we leave plenty of room to tailor the workshop day curriculum to the stylistic interests and experience levels of the particular photographers who register for the class.

For August, it'll be "location, location, location," with our first non-studio workshop. More details to come, I hear it may involve a swimming pool, and you know when *Doomsday-Dawn is involved, that doesn't bode well for your typical poolside shoot!
